We had some of the Elders over for breakfast this morning.
We were serving up a few of these beauties...
Banana Rama Pancakes!
These are pancakes made from scratch
with sugared bananas,
maple syrup
and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
It doesn't get any sweeter than this except for...
THIS!
Baptisms are definitely sweeter.
This young woman was an orphan at a very early age.
She then went to live with her grandparents and aunts and uncles
through the years.
She had a cousin that served a mission
and so she had heard about the church a little bit.
But she always knew that the True church would have a living prophet.
The Lord would not speak to some of his children through prophets
and then forget about his other children.
She gained a testimony by her diligent reading of the Book of Mormon.
Her name is Catrina
and this is the Bishop of her ward that baptized her.
She was taught by Elder Barinas and Márquez.
By the way, about our breakfast...
The Latin Elders asked us about the pancake breakfast and said...
"Is this what you really eat for Breakfast in the United States?"
We said...
oh no, this is just for special occasions.

oh no, this is just for special occasions.
This was way too sweet for them.
I am so glad we didn't add the chocolate sauce!
