Guest Contributor Elder McGrath
(Elder McGrath & Elder Cayhuan are the Zone Leaders in Cajamarca)
Elder McGrath says...
"Here are some pictures of our Zone's
Service Project from this month (March).
We planned it with the stake relief society president
who is the director of Aldea,
an orphanage here in Cajamarca.
We received special permission to work
in the orphanage because of the Director.
We painted one of the ¨Aunts¨ houses who has 10 kids
that she is in charge of all day, everyday.
The kids call the women,
who are basically their moms for each house, their ¨Aunt¨.
She was so excited and grateful to see a big group of
missionaries come in
and help her out with this project.
Kids from all of the different houses were coming by
to talk to us
and help us sand and paint the room.
Elder Prebe looks good wearing this shade of blue.
Because the house was not that big
we worked in groups
and while one group was painting,
the others entertained and played with
all the little kids in the park inside the orphanage.
They loved playing with us and didnt want us to leave.
It was a great experience for us as a zone to serve
the community here in Cajamarca
and we feel that it has really helped unite our zone even more."
Thank you to this contributor - Elder McGrath and his Zone
