Amazing little story... They happen here all the time.
This story happened to Elder Facer.
Elder Facer was part of the team that helped with the
Literary Competition a couple of days ago.
He was in charge of refreshments, set up,
passing out Books of Mormon to the students
and he helped me take pictures.
He took this picture of some of the students reading in the Book of Mormon.
He was at this activity all morning and left at about 1:00.
Then in the afternoon he was with the President out in the field
teaching with the Elders in Esperanza. This was on the other side of the mission
from where the Literary Competition took place in the morning.
Elder Facer went on exchanges with Elder Fajardo.
Later in the afternoon they were hiking up a hill in Esperanza
They were talking to a women who invited them in and she said...
my granddaughter was at one of your church buildings
this morning for a literary competition.
Elder Facer was so surprised because there were 800,000 people
in between where he was and where they were.
He had just handed one of these Books to her granddaughter that morning.
He was able to explain what they were teaching at the competition.
The Elders taught this woman all about this sacred Book.
They invited her to be baptized and she accepted.
They are in the middle of taking the lessons.
She and her family are reading the Book
of Mormon right now. And
they are attending
church.
Coincidence?
