Today was a special day for every young group of boys
out practicing their soccer skills...
The big game was tonight...
Argentina against our Beloved Perú
in the world cup preliminaries...
or qualifying rounds.
You all know what soccer means to the whole world
especially the latin countries.
There was not a person or a car on the street during the game.
Every single household was glued to the TV.
When Peru made a goal the sounds
from the street were crazy...
President even got in the spirit of the game
and went and put on his
"PAJAMA" top
wink, wink...
to hopefully bring Perú a little luck.
Well... it didn't hurt.
We should have been killed by Argentina
but we ended in a tie.
1 to 1
I thought that we would go into my favorite part
of the game...
Kick offs or penalty kicks but for some reason
in the preliminaries you don't shoot off.
Too bad it's the best part of soccer by far.
I don´t even know what they are really called.
This afternoon President was with Elder Balás and Elder Sanchez.
The Assistants split up with the others below and
they all went out to
"Teach and Preach and Work
as Missionaries do"
Missionary work is not for the weak.
Good thing we don´t have any whimps here with us.
These Elders are out being a Light to the World.
LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN
THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR
GOOD WORKS
AND GLORIFY YOUR
FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN
