The Hermanas in the California Area had a
baptism yesterday.
Congrats!
She is a Doctor here in Trujillo. She bore such a sweet testimony.
One of my missionaries, Hermana Avendaño on the right, is from Nicaragua.
She was a staunch Catholic her whole life.
Two years ago she was working in a photo store.
She saw a picture of one of the Temples.
She felt something when she saw it. She asked around and found out
it belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ.
When she met some missionaries, she asked about the Temple.
They answered her question and continued to teach her for six months.
She told the missionaries that if she found out the Church was true
after studying and praying, that she would go and serve a mission.
The missionaries told her that that was not necessary.
She said that it was necessary for her.
And look where she is... with us. YES!
We Love her.
Hermana Petherbridge comes to us from Maryland.
Her mother served a mission in Switzerland and now
Hermana Petherbridge wears the watch that her mother wore
on her mission. A great reminder of her family's missionary legacy.
Sister Petherbridge has a beautiful voice that we will be
highlighting in the Christmas Program in the Plaza.
Thank you Hermanas!
