President Turk was in America yesterday with these two Elders
Elder Aguilar is from Guatemala
and Elder Dickerson is from Texas,
And they were teaching in the area America, in Trujillo, in Peru. Wow!
They are both young in the mission
but they have old souls.
They are fantastic missionaries.
President said that they are good teachers and
Elder Dickerson's Spanish is great.
He has only been here 5 or 6 months.
I love how these missionaries will carry a Book of Mormon in their hand
at all times when they are out teaching.
They read it, study it, share it, teach from it,
Live it and Love it.
It becomes an extension of their hand.
They feel lost without it.
This Book has all the answers to the questions of the Soul.
It is refreshing. It is comforting. It is fulfilling.
Once people decide to read it...
they understand the joy that comes from
receiving answers from God.
This is who we should want to hear from
and who we want to receive direction from for our lives.
So many people don't know where to turn.
That's why we are here.
That is why the Lord has a missionary program
and He tells every member to be a missionary.
We all have to do our part. And it is the most joyful work on the planet.
and on a side note...
President Turk was thrilled to see a pick up game of basketball here.
It just doesn't happen that much.
They play soccer so he had to take photos.
Funny huh!
