We are finished with all the interviews in Trujillo and Huaraz.
Now we are heading to Chimbote next week
to finish them all up.... Again.
(and then we start all over... You know like... "It's time to make the donuts")
It was a great day for this Zone...
Elder Lorenzo and Elder Miranda beat the
Office Elders in Taca Taca and took the prizes.
Why do I love this picture so much... (below)
I think that Elder Mendoza looks like he is coming
on stage to perform a Song and a Dance.
You know I would be very excited for a special little number.
I am all for a good production... hence the Christmas Extravaganza.
But no luck, it didn't happen.
All of these missionaries have had special witnesses of the Book of Mormon.
Many of them studied and read it in Seminary.
Parents, your children should all be attending Seminary and Institute.
President Turk was invited to attend a class in Seminary
when he was in the ninth grade.
He had not signed up to take seminary.
He went back the next day... and then the next
and then signed up.
He fell in love with the teacher who taught from the Scriptures.
He then fell in love with the Book of Mormon.
His seminary teacher taught him that he could become
like Captain Moroni...
Alma 48:17
17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto aMoroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the bdevilwould never have power over the hearts of the children of men.
President Turk was intrigued and had the desire to be a better person.
He attended Seminary all four years
and became the President over the whole Seminary his Senior year.
There were about 900 students in Seminary.
His life was changed forever.
Each of these young men have been changed forever too.
The Book of Mormon changes hearts and this changes behavior.
