I am sure that you have heard about the horrible bus accident
that happened just outside of Otuzco, Perú.
It has been on all of the news all over the world.
34 people died and 6 were injured.
This is in our mission.
We have two branches up there that
we travel to all the time and so do our missionaries.
It was just a topic of discussion in President Turk's Presidency
meeting this last time. They decided that the roads were
to dangerous to put our missionaries on the buses that
run through the night.
This bus went off the road at 4 in the morning.
The very sad thing is that we lost one of our sweet members
here from Moche.
This is Oscar Asmat Asmat. He is a counselor in the Bishopric
in the Moche ward.
He works up in Huamachuco at a bank and travels up and down
every week. He is also the seminary teacher for our
youth in the Huamachuco Branch.
Oh how his seminary class and his ward will miss him.
He is a returned missionary and was recently married.
We will pray for his wife and family.
Thank you Brother Asmat for your beautiful life and example
of Christlike Service.
Perú has lost one of it's noble and great ones today...
We Love You Oscar!
