Entrevistas... Casa Grande

Casa Grande Zone came into Trujillo today for Interviews with the President.
There was a lot of Excitement.
The Zone Leaders -  Elder Prebe and Elder Massey
did some great training
with helmets and battle paraphernalia.
They are always prepared and always creative.

The office elders were eliminated quickly from the Taca Taca competition.
Elder Fackrell and Elder Cook
were not the champions today and they were not happy.
The winners were Elder Contreras and Elder Vera.

We worked on a few of our Christmas songs....
We ate lunch at the famous Norky's Chicken Restaurant.

One of our sweet sisters told a great story of her conversion and
love for the Book of Mormon.

When the missionaries started to teach her, she was 18 years old.
She thought that what they were teaching was true
but she wasn't sure about the Book of Mormon.
It was hard for her to understand and she was confused when she read it.
She knelt down to ask Heavenly Father if this Book was true.
She felt a strong prompting to open the Book.

She opened up the Book of Mormon and it fell to Alma 32:15-16

And this passage touched her like nothing ever has.

15 Yea, he that truly humbleth himself, and repenteth of his sins, and endureth to the end, the same shall be blessed—yea, much more blessed than they who are compelled to be humble because of their exceeding poverty.
16 Therefore, blessed are they who ahumble themselves without being bcompelled to be humble; or rather, in other words, blessed is he that believeth in the word of God, and is baptized withoutcstubbornness of heart, yea, without being brought to know the word, or even compelled to know, before they will believe.

She heard the Lord speaking to her and she followed her heart and the
impressions of the spirit.
She started to read the Book of Mormon every day.
She came to love it.  It started to guide her life.
She asked to be baptized.
Her father had passed away and her mother wanted nothing
to do with the church.
But her little brother went with her to church and
soon he was baptized too.
This was such a blessing to her because just a few
short years later her little brother passed away at the age of 11.
He always went to church with her every sunday
and loved the Gospel.
This has given her peace and comfort.

She is here in the mission with no one that is supporting her
but she knows who she is and who she really belongs too
and she is here to serve Him.

Once you feel the strong witness of the Holy Ghost,
you cannot deny it.  You know that what you
felt was true and that the correct thing to do is to follow
and obey the promptings.
They will lead you to truth and happiness.
And now she is here with us...  we love her so much.
