Huaraz is a STAKE!

 Look at beautiful Huaraz!

On the way to Huaraz there was just enough time to climb
the Forteleza de Paramonga

This fort was built about 1000 years ago.
It was built by the Chimu people.
It was a lookout and protection for the people.
This is the same group of people that built Chan Chan -
the huge adobe city in Trujillo.

Here is the President with his Assistants Elder Chacaltana and Elder Pickett on top of the fort.

This is Elder Pino our Area President who took Elder Nash's place
along with Elder Hooker who lives in Lima.
Elder Pino is in the First Quorum of the Seventy.
Elder Hooker is an area Seventy.
They came to Huaraz to call the new Stake Presidency

And here is the new Stake Presidency of Huaraz
President Zavaleta in the center,
First Counselor on the left is  President Huiman
and the Second Counselor on the right is President Villanueva.
This is an exciting time for Huaraz.

Here are the Zone Leaders in Huaraz with our Assistants
Pickett, Chacaltana, Romero, Takishita

President Turk is in the middle of some of the Young Adults in Huaraz.

Life is good in Huaraz...
We pray that all the members there will keep focusing on
building the Kingdom of God by being great examples to those around them
and by inviting them to come to church and to listen to our missionaries.

Missionaries serving in Huaraz:
Hermanas:  Ortiz, Cornelio, Mendoza, Jimenez
Elders:  Takishita, Romero, Martinez, Reyes, Whitehead, Canaan, Mieles,
Del Aguila, Arriola, Fuentealba, and Chun

Thank You Huaraz and Congratulations!
